Living in a city with such a long history is great for inspiration and Savannah is even better because most of our downtown area still looks like it did all those years ago. When I walk in the historic district I can vividly see ladies in Empire gowns dodging horse droppings (and I can smell it since we have horse and carriage tours everywhere!) and picking their way over the cobblestones. Savannah is a beautiful place to live for anyone but for a history nut like me it is Heaven!Rachel Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15558320176729409822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9182324694661837287.post-22250966535289573712011-02-03T19:20:02.027-06:002011-02-03T19:20:02.027-06:00Your research obviously provides some wonderful st...Your research obviously provides some wonderful story fodder for you, Rachel. I enjoy ghost stories, especially when they scare the heck out of me! I live in New Hampshire and have recently read "Haunted Portsmouth," supposedly true accounts of paranormal activity in old colonial buildings. They're everywhere! Good luck to you and Paige.Pat McDermotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17969402820726235963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9182324694661837287.post-40321738314234085902011-02-03T15:45:01.075-06:002011-02-03T15:45:01.075-06:00Hi Marissa, thanks for dropping by! I had them in this story but it would have been over 4 pages long!
LOL, I need to take lessons from you on how to write a short piece :)Rachel Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15558320176729409822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9182324694661837287.post-28893006594330460362011-02-03T15:17:53.546-06:002011-02-03T15:17:53.546-06:00Love the story, Rachel! I should also say that being blocked from the room is true, though the suffocation is mine :)
Travel channel filmed the Inn as part of their Great Halloween Getaways and they'd heard of a staff member that Anna supposedly didn't like so they wanted to interview him in Room 204: he couldn't get in and all described it as an invisible barrier. Anna also 'attacked' Sean while he was collecting the menu requests of guests from door knobs: he said he felt something around his neck and he was lifted about 6 inches off the floor.Rachel Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15558320176729409822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9182324694661837287.post-42038672623408477402011-02-03T13:06:11.494-06:002011-02-03T13:06:11.494-06:00What a great tale!
