The Spirit Dance

Yes. I know science explained this phenomena long ago but I prefer to think of them as spirits dancing across the sky. A friend emailed these photographs to me. She knows my love of nature and animals. I couldn't wait to share them you. I hope they give you the same sense of peace they gave to me.

  1. You and Jasper did good today. Those are extraordinary photos. I've never seen the lights but hubby grew up in Wisconsin and comments on how beautiful those northern lights are. I am relaxed now, do I have to type some more???

  6. I've heard of them, but never saw pictures until today. Thanks for educating me. Wow, is all I can say. Now I'm off to research them. I can be so woefully ignorant at times.

  7. Maeve, what an extraordinary view! Someday I want to see the Aurora Borealis. It's magical, wondrous! The hand of God reaching down and touching the mother earth.

  10. Thanks for the memories. I lived in Alaska for several years. Unfortunately, when the lights came out, it was too cold to really enjoy them. But they are eerie, that's for sure. They move so quickly, you expect them to make a sound!

  11. Amazing, Maeve. I understand the recent show was the best in years due to increased sunspot activity. I like your idea of spirits dancing across the sky better. Thanks for the treat.
